The boat is handcrafted – its evident folds, poorly finished, worn out, the handwritten phrase – show subjective gestures amidst the time, effort and care involved in the preparation. The material, the size of the paper, the phrase or the design chosen, everything is decided by whoever executes the artistic proposition.

Manual work, by itself, triggers motor and affective memories. The paper boat refers to childhood, but also to real ships. During preparation, images can be retrieved and associated with the action, further amplifying the fruitive sensations. Therefore, we have the execution of the proposition as a performative gesture.
Photobook published by Artisan Raw Books. It contains works from Sea of Memories project, which dialogue with a text and a poem. It is a book of images-poetry; photographs of an imprecise space-time, blurred memories of the experiences that shaped the artist. Poetic fragments of the incessant movement of life.
According to visual artist and art critic César Romero, "each image has several possibilities for interpretation, ranging from the viewer's involvement with the representations and their memories".
In this photographic project, the artist rescues his childhood memories, when the sea was a constant companion. The restless tracing of the light brings the images closer to impressionist and expressionist paintings. They are blurred, as are our most hidden memories; invite us to dive into the sea of memories that constitute us and relive them. The works of this project were presented in the solo exhibition entitled 'e todo modo de Deus no mar", at Palacete das Artes, Salvador/BA, between August and September 2018.
São Joaquim is the name of the largest open-air market in the city of Salvador, Bahia. Thousands of people pass through its narrow streets daily, customers and merchants, most of them low-income. Considered part of the city's culture, it suffers from structural precariousness, as a result of the government's neglect. Vendors, who work strenuous hours, set up their stalls, sometimes improvised. They are ordinary people, socially invisible, tissues of this living organism.
The works of this project were presented at the Feira Universitária de Arte da Bahia, at the Museum of Modern Art, Salvador/BA, in January 2017.
